Vice President, Development

Alex Young has proven to be a strong player in commercial real estate development. He joined MSP Commercial in 2003, transitioning from a successful career in commercial brokerage at Welsh Companies, where he was named 2002′s national Rookie of the Year.

At MSP Commercial, Alex serves as Vice President of Development, supervising the development of projects, and working with contractors and architects. In addition, he continues to oversee leasing and purchasing, as well as seeking out tenants for current projects.

A graduate of St. John’s University with a degree in Business Management, Alex has already been instrumental in a number of large development projects, including Oakcrest Village, a 28 acre mixed use development in Oakdale, Minnesota. This is in addition to MSP Commercial’s primary focus, 25,000 to 50,000 square feet suburban medical office buildings. His work on these projects includes land acquisition, governmental approvals, securing financing and equity, and guiding the project to successful completion.

Alex is also a member of the City of Chaska’s Planning Commission.
